Terms and Conditions

Effective date: September 18, 2026

Draft only — requires legal review before launch, particularly before any Stripe payment flow goes live. This document is not legal advice.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Grampai, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you are setting up the service on behalf of a senior family member, you confirm you have the authority to do so and to consent on their behalf where noted below.

2. Description of Service

Grampai is an AI voice concierge service. Callers can ask our AI to book a ride, order groceries or a meal, arrange prescription pickup, or simply have a conversation for companionship. Rides and deliveries are fulfilled through Uber and Uber Eats.

3. Not an Official Partner

Grampai is not an official partner of, and is not endorsed, sponsored, or certified by, Uber, Uber Eats, Meta, or Stripe. We use their publicly available services and APIs under our own account. Any statement suggesting an official partnership requires a separate written agreement with that company. All third-party trademarks and names belong to their respective owners.

4. AI Disclosure and Limitations

Our service is powered by artificial intelligence, which always identifies itself as an AI — never as a human. You can ask to be transferred to a human team member at any time.

Grampai is not a substitute for emergency services, medical professionals, or family. In a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number). Our AI does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or emergency response, and should never be relied on for either.

5. Eligibility and Account Setup

Grampai is intended for use by adults. Accounts are typically set up and managed by a family member or caregiver on behalf of a senior. The account holder confirms they have the authority to consent to call recording, AI processing, and the sharing of call summaries as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Subscriptions and Pricing

Payments are not yet live — pricing below reflects our planned structure once Stripe is enabled.

  • Rides & Deliveries subscription: $18.99/month
  • Per-ride or per-delivery fee: $3, added to the real price charged by Uber or Uber Eats for that trip or order — we do not mark up the underlying Uber/Uber Eats price beyond this flat fee
  • Companionship — Chatty plan: $29.99/month, approximately 180 minutes of AI conversation; additional Companionship plans with different minute allowances may also be offered

7. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged for the following period.

8. Refunds

[Refund policy to be finalized with legal counsel before payments launch — for example, whether completed ride/delivery fees and used Companionship minutes are non-refundable, while unused subscription time may be eligible for a prorated refund.]

9. Variable Third-Party Pricing

The price of a ride or delivery is set by Uber or Uber Eats and can vary based on distance, demand, and other factors outside our control. Grampai will tell you the estimated total (Uber/Uber Eats price plus our $3 fee) before confirming a booking, but the final charged amount may differ slightly from the estimate due to factors like route changes.

10. Future Payments (Stripe)

Once enabled, subscription and per-transaction payments will be processed through Stripe. Grampai does not store your full card number. Stripe's own terms and privacy practices apply to payment processing. These payment terms are a draft and will be finalized with legal counsel before the payment flow goes live.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Grampai to submit false information, attempt to defraud the service or our third-party partners, harass our AI or team, or use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

12. Third-Party Services and Limitation of Liability

Rides and deliveries are carried out by independent Uber and Uber Eats driver-partners and merchants, not by Grampai. We coordinate these requests but do not control, and are not liable for, the quality, timeliness, or safety of third-party service delivery. [This limitation of liability is a draft placeholder — it must be reviewed and finalized by a lawyer, as overly broad liability waivers may not be enforceable under Quebec consumer protection law or certain U.S. state laws.]

13. Family and Caregiver Access

If a family member or caregiver is designated on your account, they will receive a summary after each Companionship call. This sharing is disclosed to the senior at signup, and the senior may ask at any time who has access to these summaries.

14. Governing Law

For Canadian customers, these terms are governed by the laws of the applicable province. For U.S. customers, governing law will be specified by state as we expand — a single nationwide clause is not used, since requirements (including call-recording consent rules) vary by state.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Grampai after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
